Had reservation at hotel last weekend as we drove up a homeless man was rummaging through drop key box in front of reception door. Waited awhile for someone to unlock door to reception ask if it was a safe place to stay was told police station around the corner (so reassuring). Room look like something you see in bad movie. Left immediately. Tried to get refund but was told not their policy. Run don’t walk away from this place.

terrible place. too nosily. next to t atraffic circle and all you hear is traffic. beds terrible. this place is from the 50's and still looks it. wifi doesn't work well or none at all. had to go to coffee shop to do email. spend your money elsewhere. this place needs to go out of business.

This place was horrid- possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We checked in (waited a while for someone to even come to the lobby), took one look at the room, and booked the Hyatt down the street. The place smelled, there was no toilet paper, there were stains on the mattress, and I would be shocked if the mattress cost more than $25. On top of all of this, we really didn’t feel safe given the area was poorly lit. This was disgustingly overpriced. Do not waste your money. Spend the extra $100 and go to the Hyatt!!

The bathroom had this muave/blue tile and toilet that looked like it hadn't been renovated since 1981. No carpets or rugs in the room, tile floor makes it feel like prison. At 3:40 AM another guest's car horn kept on going off like a car alarm, and although this is not the Budget Host's fault, and the front desk person did come out and help inspect the situation, he left when the other guests came out. I asked them to remove their car from the parking lot. They refused. The horn went off again at 7:20 AM at which point I called the police. By the way, the proper police precinct for this rathole is South Hampton, not Riverhead. I have a feeling the chances are high that you will call the police if you stay here. I would like to get a refund.

Ratty, old, dirty accommodations!!! Don't do it, big regret!!! Horrible Customer Service!!! Outdated rooms, rusty fixtures, cracked tiles!!! Worst experience I've ever had with accommodations, misrepresented online.
